The draft of the agreement will enable the football fans to transit through Belarus to Russia for the FIFA World Cup 2018.

The next round of negotiations between Russia and Belarus about the introduction of the mutual visa is planned to take place in March. This visa will be valid for entering both countries, without additional check-ups at the border.

The end of 2017 may bring benefits to tourists visiting both Russia and Belarus. These two countries are planning to sign an agreement on mutual visas recognition, announced Vladimir Makei, the Foreign Minister of Belarus.

Since the start of the new Belarus visa-free regime, many tourists have decided to visit this European country. Most of these tourists are German citizens.

Since February 2017, citizens of 80 countries, most notably citizens of the EU and the USA, are allowed to stay up to 5 days in Belarus without a visa. These countries are mostly Belarus’ strategic partners.
