Before starting your visa application make sure to:
– have a printer to print out the form;
– valid passport;
– have all the rest of the required documents.
Take notice that if you make a pause during your application that is longer than 20 minutes, your session will expire. Unless you save your application number or its draft, you will have to start your application over.
After making a password and writing down the ID of your application, you can start filling in the information.
The application contains 6 parts:
In the first part, you need to provide general information about your trip, like your purpose of visit, entry and exit dates and visa type you are applying for.
In this section of the application, you need to fill out your personal information. Make sure to list the information as it is in your passport.
This section is, of course, for passport information.
This part includes information about the travel company you are travelling with, your itinerary and a few other questions.
In this section, you need to provide your permanent address and information about your place of work or place of studying. You also need to give information (if it applies to you) whether you are travelling with someone that is sharing your passport or if you have any relatives in Russia.
From the drop-down menu select where you will apply for your visa. The offered locations depend on the country where you will be applying for your visa. Once you made your choice, you will be transferred to the final step of your application.
After you are done with your online application, you will receive a document. Lots of information will stay on the Russian website and not be featured in the said document.
On the first page, you will find all general information, such as your name and surname, including details about the visa you applied for and your trip itinerary. Make sure to check that all information is correct.
On the same page, you will find space for your photograph and signature in the bottom left corner.
